Live Blog

00:01:45 – Woah, getting married after eight months! Brave people.
00:03:43 – I wouldn’t tell any of my friends that stuff.
00:06:47 – I like a dad who has his son as his best friend.
00:16:05 – Was that David Beckham?
00:17:37 – So people lie to find friends on the internet as well as dates!
00:20:07 – It’s like a lesson in every single way how NOT to get on with people.
00:25:09 – That flat has quite the view. The statue ruins it a little though.
00:27:08 – I want to know someone I can give the nickname Elmo.
00:29:07 – I leave answerphone messages like that. Forgetting to say who I am, struggling to say what the point of the message is, and getting distracted.
00:33:34 – The idea of a fish taco is not attractive to me.
00:48:53 – I had to have The Hulk thing explained to me. Oops.
00:54:19 – Borat gets mentions in films now?
01:02:26 - I wouldn’t get in a car with him. He barely looks at the road.
01:05:06 – So you do actually have to wear stupid clothes to play golf.
01:13:12 – Paul Rudd is properly funny.
01:18:39 – It was all funny but now I am worried it’s all gonna go wrong.
01:22:09 – I was not expecting it to go wrong that quickly.
01:25:31 – Any film that references LOST is high up on my list.
01:34:58 – Is it just me that finds his blue suit a bit odd?
01:37:31 – Now that I understand it, having the actual Hulk in this film is genius.

Conclusions

Never mind hoping for a single laugh out loud moment, Mr C and I laughed throughout the entire movie. We quoted it to each other for an entire day, and then we chuckled some more. I’ve forgotten it now, but would quite easily watch it over again.

  1. Paul Rudd is properly funny.

I totally agree. He seems to hold together many of the films he has recently starred in. Role Models and Forgetting Sarah Marshall come to mind. Although I always confuse him with Jason Bateman, but that’s probably just my odd mind. Jason Segel also did quite well in this film, I thought. Previously he had just come across as big oaf, but taking a more prominent role in I Love You Man, I thought he did okay.

I’m not sure I’ve seen him in anything before (big surprise) but I thought he was good in this. I will keep my eyes peeled for other appearances.
